Welcome to l’Abruzzo – a restaurant and pizzeria born from love, memories, and flavors that last for generations

Restaurant l'Abruzzo has a name that has a deep personal meaning for our family. The idea for opening a place like this in Bar came from a family story that we carry with us for generations. Our grandmother was born and raised in Guardiagrele, a small town in the Abruzzo region of Italy. During the Second World War, fate brought her together with our grandfather, a Montenegrin, and their story began right there, in Italy. They got married in Rome, and spent most of their lives between Italy and Montenegro, cherishing both cultures.

Grandma passed on her Italian tradition and love for cooking first to her children, and then to us, the grandchildren. It was from this family story, from emotion and heritage, that the idea arose to open a restaurant and pizzeria in Bar — a place that brings the spirit of Italy and the Abruzzo region to our region through food, atmosphere and details.

In the interior of the restaurant, we have combined modern design with the soul of Abruzzo. The walls are decorated with authentic photographs - from panoramic views of Chieti and Guardiagrele, to the church of Santa Maria della Pietà, a Renaissance jewel nestled in the untouched nature of the Gran Sasso National Park. Each photo brings a piece of Italy – serene landscapes, rich architecture and the spirit of the times.
